I then picked up an old 410 Ivers Johnson Champion at a gun show for aroud a hundred bucks and then I found an old 20 gauge Ivers Johnson Champion at another gun show for another hundred bucks. I shot a ton of squirrel, a bunch of rabbits, a few grouse, a turkey, a deer, a woodchuck with #OO Buckshot. I used that shotgun all that fall & winter for everything I hunted. I kept the 12 gauge Ivers Johnson, it has the matted barrel (solid rib on the top of the barrel) and sold the other one for $30, So my 12 gauge Ivers Johnson only cost be $5. He had two old single shot shotguns for $35 for the both of them. This old guy use to hit up the garage sales, estate sales and flea markets and buy things and resold them at his houce down on Olive Street, right down the side street Dick's started out on. The first one I bought was about thirty years ago mback there in Upstate New York (Binghamton). I have a few of the old Ivers Johnson Champion single-shot shotguns.
